Larry Read: Music
Safe In Mommy's Arms
(Larry Read)

I went outside to play today
I raced my big black dog
But all the fun soon fell away
When I tripped over a log!
My knee was skinned and my arm was hurt
I had mud caked on my face
But I picked myself up off the dirt
And in to mom I raced.
‘Cause it doesn’t matter where I am
I’m safe in mommy’s arms
She’ll fix the hurt, wipe off the dirt
Her hands can heal all harm
Her smile takes the fears away
Her kiss is always true
If you need help, here’s a secret…turn to Mommy too!
School was not so great today
I spilled milk on my desk
A boy pushed me when I looked away
And a baseball hit my neck
My head was hurt, I tore my shirt
I felt like a disgrace
So I counted every minute
Then home to mom I raced
‘Cause it doesn’t matter where I am
I’m safe in mommy’s arms
She’ll fix the hurt, wipe off the dirt
Her hands will heal all harms
Her smile takes the fears away
Her kiss is always true
If you need help, here’s a secret…turn to Mommy too!
I decided to have a special day
A day just for my mom
I picked some yellow flowers
And I wrote this little song
A cake was baked, a gift was wrapped
I invited daddy too
And together we celebrate
What all good mommies do!
‘Cause it doesn’t matter where I am
I’m safe in mommy’s arms
She’ll fix the hurt, wipe off the dirt
Her hands will heal all harms
Her smile takes the fears away
Her kiss is always true
If you need help, here’s a secret…turn to Mommy too!
‘Cause it doesn’t matter where I am
I’m safe in mommy’s arms
She’ll fix the hurt, wipe off the dirt
Her hands will heal all harms
Her smile takes the fears away
Her kiss is always true
If you need help, here’s a secret…turn to Mommy too!
